Armando Muñoz, A.K.A Armandean. He was born on October 7, 1986 in Mexico. He grew up accompanied by his parents and his sister, together with his family he moved to Cuautitlán Izcalli in the State of Mexico when he was very young. He was always the distracted child in class because his mind only thought about drawing, he used to be in "detention" because he drove his teachers crazy by not
working in class because he was drawing.
His ability to draw was from a very young age, and his father had a lot to do with it, since he is also a great artist. The most beautiful memories of his childhood are the murals that his father made for his sister and for him in his bedrooms. His tattoo came into his life at the age of 21, one afternoon his neighbor arrived with a shoe box, inside it was a tattoo machine, a couple of inks and a needle.
His neighbor had come from getting a tattoo hours before, which didn't look good at all and asked him for help to try to improve it, and that's how he first approached him with a tattoo machine. The "cover up" was done without any prior knowledge and with the sole support of his ability to draw.
From that moment the passion for creating art on people's skin was born. His training as a tattoo artist began in the emblematic “tianguis de la lagunilla”. Later he was part of some of the most important studios in Mexico City. How they are: Gallonegro, Soulflower Custom Tattoo, Tatudemia.
In 2018 he formed his own tattoo studio, bringing together the most important artists on the scene in Mexico City in one place. “Viernes 13 Tattoo Collective”. With more than 10 years as a professional tattoo artist, tattooing has given him the opportunity to visit many countries as a guest tattoo artist in some of the most renowned tattoo studios and also as a guest at national and international conventions.
